Wuyi Road Redevelopment


Wuyi road is a historic road of Changsha city used for transportation and viewing scenic landscapes. A central business district (CBD), municipal buildings, office buildings and broken residential buildings align both sides of the road. Before the redevelopment, there was only one park along Wuyi road. Although Wuyi road begins at the Xiangjiang riverfront, visitors can not access the water because of the impeding, dilapidated residential buildings.

The strategy was to demolish the impeding, dilapidated residential buildings, meliorate pavements, and build plazas and parks. The Built in 2003, Now Wuyi Road is a vibrant attractive road in Changsha City. Wuyi Road Redevelopment revived the economy along Wuyi road, and brought green space and fresh air to city residents.

This was a group work when I worked in I independently finished the north section and west part of the master plan (from Riverfront to Furong Plaza).
